And...the Offer is OUT

Well, so much for that house.

Even though the seller did not officially and appropriately get back to us with a counter offer or even a formal rejection, his agent gave our Realtor the heads-up. It sounded like the seller would consider our offer only if we gave $10,000 NON-REFUNDABLE earnest money (if the offer fell-through on our end) and rent in August and partially September.

Yeah, that wasn't going to happen. Even though we are 99% sure we will get that loan at the end of September, there are too many things that could happen. So there's no way we could or would agree to that. Anyway, the house status said "contingent" today so apparently they received another offer that they're working with. Boo...

Oh, well. It was a good try and a learning experience about how to make an offer on a house.I just feel bad that Dan stressed over all the paperwork while stressing about studying for the Bar. But like I said, we're not that broken up about it so maybe it wasn't the one for us after all.

We won't start looking again until August when we've moved down there. Fortunately, my brother-and sister-in-law, Ryan and Megan, are letting us stay with them for a bit. That'll be fun and much less work to move. Thanks, guys!

I need to blog about Aiyana's baby blessing and the 4th of July. That's much happier, exciting, and enjoyable to write about! Hopefully by Sunday I'll get those up. Too many cute pics waiting to be seen!
