Aaron is 8-Months

8-month-old highlights:
• Something happened at 7 months because since then,  he is all over the place! He rolls over back and forth, and pulls himself forward on the floor everywhere. He's so determined! His crawl is more like doing the "caterpillar," as he wriggles his body and uses his arms to tug himself in a forward motion. Pretty effective for this little guy!
• His growing temper astounds me. He's pretty chill throughout the day, but lately at bedtime  he throws the hugest screaming fits! I can't even believe the lungs on him, and I'm fearful for how early he's reached Aiyana's decibel level. For almost two weeks straight, he fought bedtime worse than Aiya ever did. We'd give him a bottle and rock him to sleep and try and lay him down to sneak away . . .  but he would immediately wake up and scream. I think the longest we let him cry was 20 minutes, but the crying only escalated and we couldn't bear to let him cry longer. Fortunately, whatever was happening during this phase corrected himself and he's back to letting us lay him down without much problem.
• We're at the "everything goes in the mouth" stage. Time to sweep and bring out the vacuum more often! Not a fan.
• I love that he can put his binky in his mouth! So cute.
• Every morning, we join Aiyana for morning snuggles in her crib. (well, not me, of course. Three's a crowd!) It's always fun . . . for a few minutes anyway! It usually ends with Aaron screaming from being smothered or held down by his neck.
• He is often called  a girl by Aiya, as she compliments, "Good girl, Baby . . ." = )
• He is such a champ on errands. I love taking him with me because he is so happy and easy!
• If he's fed and has a dry diaper, he is such a happy, independent baby most of the time. He enjoys playing and exploring on his own, as long as someone is in the same vicinity as he is. '
