Miscellaneous Happenings

So our gift to my dad from all the kids and spouses was giving him a ticket to The Beach Boys concert! The Covey Center in Provo is hosting them on November 4th. Since we all grew up with The Beach Boys often blaring in our home (with some goofy lip-sync happening as well!) we knew my dad would want to attend. When he opened his gift, he said The Beach Boys was the last concert he ever attended with a date, back in 1974! Pawnee, Ryan, and I will be accompanying him and can't wait!

As expected, my dad was thrilled to use his "senior discount" at I-Hop, telling the waitress that he's been planning this moment for twenty years! For dessert, we hit up Cold Stone next door.
We went to Pat and Lynette's home in Woods Cross and played with their cute dog, Chip. He's so playful and has such a tender personality! When we were sitting on the floor playing the board game, RISK, (which Dan obliterated us in, by the way, although I stood a good chance, too!) Chip kept trying to sit in our lap. He is definitely not the appropriate size for a "lap-dog", but he seemed to think it was normal behavior when he'd back up and wiggle his bum into our laps and have a seat like a child! Pat and Lynette love Chip and its obvious he adores them. They make a good combo!

Ryan and Emily were in St. George this weekend so they weren't able to attend the party. But here are some cute pics of Addie from a couple weeks ago. She's six months+ now!

She can sit up all by herself now! A couple weeks ago, she was still doing the "Eeyore" slouch. I absolutely love this outfit on her, and the flower is ridiculously adorable. Good job, Emily and Ry!

 Grandpa Rock and Adelyn

Dan has been playing soccer and/or football once a week for intramurals with his law friends. He's been exercising and working hard these days and I'm proud of his efforts! I'm glad he's able to have so much fun playing with his friends, too. School is getting busier, as it always does as each month that steps closer to the end of the semester. His Young Mens calling also requires a lot of time and energy, and Dan is doing so much good with these boys.
