We're not talking about bad words here.
On Friday, October 21st, Dan was sworn in -- the final step to Dan's official title as an attorney.
It was a mass ceremony so all I could see was the back of Dan's head as he stood with his arm raised and recited the oath. But still pretty cool to witness the final stamp of approval!
Dan is adjusting to his new work life. He's pretty much tired all the time but despite the stress, he frequently says, "I love everything about bankruptcy!" Even though I don't understand most of what he explains to me, I enjoy hearing the excitement in his voice when he shares about cases he's researching, especially when he writes papers for the older attorneys and receives positive feedback. That's probably been one of the hardest things for Dan -- rarely receiving feedback like he has throughout college and law school. He's been so used to every assignment being rated with helpful comments from TA's and professors that now he often questions himself at work. He's gaining confidence every week though, and has, in fact, received quite a few compliments as well as helpful critiques.
When he comes homes (usually around 6:30pm), it's Aiyana and Daddy time before she goes to bed.
Lately, she says hello by touching our faces. We love it.
Love this sweet little face. She makes me so happy.
Her daddy loves her so much, too.
P.S. Some things never change:
(Those of you that have seen Ty's video might remember a clip where Dan and Ty were watching a show on the laptop together.)
