I was lucky enough to have my mom visit with me for three weeks. It was such a treat! She was so helpful with Aiyana, shoo-ing me out the door to go take care of whatever while Aiya stayed with her. *Big satisified AHHHH.... for so many quick trips without strapping and carrying Aiyana in and out!
Some of that time, Jen and her kids were with us so we all had a great time watching "Once Upon a Time" on Huluplus every evening (finally, an interesting yet clean, creative show!), or going on walks, shopping . . . My mom and I kept up the exercise pretty well when Jen left and it was just the two of us. It was so nice to have a workout partner -- although, most of the time my insane mom went running at 5:30 or 6 in the morning. No thank you! But her motivation encouraged me to do my own thing later that morning.
Aiyana LOVED all the attention. What child wouldn't?? She was scooped up and kissed all over -- Thai-style with the crazy-fun rapid sniffs and all -- and chased around the house with energy that I can barely keep up with. My mom is one of a kind, that's for sure, and the most unique Grandma you'll ever find.

Happy Birthday, Khun Maa! We had so much fun during your visit, and Aiya is in attention-withdrawal. Thanks for teaching her so many little things while you were here. (Like her first "staggering-steps", how to climb down the stairs safely, how to dance "pop'n-lock-it" style, and the best "joob-joob" kisses a toddler can give!)
If we're lucky, she'll be living here in Vegas before next summer!

Your mom is awesome! I love Aiya's cute looks and facial expressions. We miss her. The girls have actually asked about her a couple of times.
