This second year of law school has been a crazy busy one! Everyone said it gets easier after the first year. Dan and I beg to differ! Well, there are some things that have been easier - having a reliable, fun study-group who are great friends to Dan; knowing what to expect on tests; just knowing what to expect in general; knowing where and when Dan can get away with cutting corners (like skipping out on readings to hang out with Ty and me!)... But, that aside, there was the stressful chaos of job applications, interviews, having a baby and pushing through exhaustion, the Rex E. Lee competition (being on the Moot Court team), and exams will never be defined as "easy"...
So, you can imagine the anxiety Dan felt as he waited for grades to finally be posted, which took forever long. But on January 22nd, Dan discovered that he had made the top 15%! He barely missed the slot last semester, so it was really rewarding to have improved. What a relief! I'm so proud of him and his achievements. He really works so hard - yet he always makes sure to make time for Ty and me. There were a couple weeks this semester when I didn't see him until ten or eleven pm. That kinda stunk. But generally, we make sure we have time to lie in bed together and watch our favorite shows. That's what is relaxing for us.
So, yay for being half-way done!
